Batman

I just wanted to stop by and give you an update on batman. We Adopted him on 8-24-11 and I have to say he was the missing piece to our family! Our 2 girls call him their brother and we just love him. He has decided that I'm his mom so, when he's a little unsure of something or someone, he come's and sits on my lap untill he feels comfortible, and has become my bed buddy at night. He is truely a wonderful cat and I'm happy to say that he couldn't be more loved by anyone. Michelle Jacks

Dexter
Dexter

Hello to all at CARE and especially Jackie, We just wanted to let you know that Dexter the dog is doing great! He fit right in at our house and is such a good boy. He loves the attention that he gets from us. Our boys Alex and Ben are especially crazy about him and we are pretty sure the feeling is mutual! Dexter sleeps with each of the boys, and alternates nights and beds. He walks well on a leash and frequents the ballpark with us. Thank you so much for allowing us to have such a great friend. God Bless, Tyler, Nancy, Alex, & Ben Van Dyke

Tiny Tim
Tiny Tim

4/15/09 He's doing great! He seems to really be enjoying himself here. He loves attempting to play with our other cat Cleo, but she still hasn’t completely warmed up to him yet. She is getting better though. The other day we let our rabbit out to see how he would react to her and at first he was scared and hissed and tried to hit her, but now they play together. He'll sneak up on her and then run full out at her and then screech to a stop right in front of her. It’s pretty funny. He also really likes running through the living room (where we first met him) and then sliding on the rug that’s in front of the sliding doors to the deck. He then starts attacking the rug and only stops when he is sure he's killed it haha. Yesterday we bought him two new toys to play with. He's definitely a spoiled little guy now! We have to leave all the doors to the rooms open at night now so he can jump from bed to bed to find the best sleeping spot for that particular night. He has a favorite chair, it’s the one I used to sit in, and he’s always in it now so now I get to sit on the floor haha. Hmm what else? He has this new thing of always trying to eat Cleo's cat food. Every time he hears us pour food into her bowl he comes running over to try and eat some, even though his bowl is full. So we now have to hide her food bowl up high on a bookshelf so he can’t reach it. The bookshelf seems to be working though; he can’t seem to sniff it out now. Oh, he also loves attacking feet. At night I'll sit in one of the chairs and put my feet up on the foot rest and about 3 seconds later he'll either be jumping on my feet attcking them or be under the foot rest attacking my legs from underneath! Now I have little claw marks all over my feet and legs. He's definitely living the life here, playing and sleeping all day long! 3/31/09 Tiny Tim sounds like a wonderful little kitty! My family and I miss having a lap cat around. We adopted our current cat about four years ago, but she is definitely not a lap cat! We think our cat is getting lonely so it was great to find out that Tiny Tim gets along with other cats! We also have a rabbit who loves to play with the cat, but the cat doesn’t love to play with her! It’s one of the funniest things to watch when we let the rabbit out to play around the house because she immediately hops to find the cat and then proceeds to hop in circles around her. 3/29/07 I am "Timmy's" foster mom and the person who found him injured in the field. He is a lap kitty. He is good with dogs and other cats. He is a bit of a "dog-like" kitty as he will follow me around the house, when i sit down he wants to sit on my lap. He cannot jump very high so your tables are safe! He cannot be declawed as he uses his front claws to help him climb (such as on the couch). Since his tail and one back leg are gone I don't think he has the balance to jump up but can jump down off of the couch or sometimes the bed. He should stay inside or maybe go outside on a halter with someone with him.

Marxx
Marxx

We, my husband Ken and I, have had the cat Marxx for 2 and 1/2 years. I know it's taken me a bit to say anything about him but I thought I'd give a little update. He was shy at first but then his curiosity got the best of him and he came out and explored more. He is such a loveable cat, he likes to cuddle with us on the bed, and sometimes will come right up and lay on our heads! Everytime my husband brings him to the vet they always comment on how happy and friendly he is. I think we also started a bad habit when he was little, we encouraged him to meow, because it was so darn cute, but now he does it alot! It is still cute, but not as much at 6:30 in the morning! He loves everyone, and everyone loves him. He loves to play and run around. His favorite toy is one that looks a bit too much like a mouse (thanks to my husband!). I also wanted to thank you all for the great job you are doing! Keep it up! Thank you also for allowing us to have the joy of owning Zeeke! Oh yeah his name is now Zeeke. Here are a few pictures, you can see how spoiled he is!
