SCOUT
SCOUT

Dear CARE, I fostered five dogs through you before becoming an official "foster failure" and adopting one for myself. When I went to the shelter to pick up my sixth foster dog, I thought I had one chosen, until I came upon this black and white dog that just looked so happy. When I first opened the door to my car, she jumped in, sat down obediently and smiled at me- immediately I knew I had picked a good dog. Two months later, she was officially adopted by me and now it has been almost a year since the adoption. Scout is an amazing dog- she is loyal, well behaved, and absolutely loves all people- she even got excited when she saw a scarecrow from a distance! Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful program where I was able to get to know so many wonderful dogs and then find my own forever pup. Keep up the great work! - Tina Noronha

Sheba
Sheba

Dear CARE, This year we opted for an artificial tree after fearing we would otherwise end up with tree sap coated kitties — looks like it was a good call. No sooner was the tree up than Sheba and Diane climbed to its top; fortunately they were also able to climb down again. Looks like our decorating this year may be limited to our bright eyed girls peering out from the branches. Diane and Sheba are doing wonderfully and make our lives a joy day in and out, we really couldn’t ask for better companions. They are very happy and playful, and have developed personalities quite distinct from one another. With the cold weather our girls have learned that I radiate a lot of heat — and so I’ve become a favorite sleeping place at night. Truly we are having a wonderful time together. Thank you once again, Charles & Janet, Sheba & Diane

Sage
Sage

I'm not sure if you remember but my mom and I adopted Sage(domestic longhair cat) from the Columbus Petco and we have some pictures of him! He has gotten extremely big and has a very long bushy tail! His hobbies include terrorizing anything that moves, including his big brothers, Andrew and Chance. He's extremely special to us and we would just like to say thank you! I hope you can post these pictures on his page on your website! ps- we call him Bert now. We don't know why, but it just stuck!

Skylar
Skylar

Last February I adopted a dog named Skylar. He was a surprise birthday gift for my grandson. Well I am writing to let you know that Skylar is doing just fine. He has been a little blessing to our family. Attached you will find some pictures of Skylar. one is a picture at the time we brought him home, and the others are of him as he is now. He is 15 days short of his first birthday. I had wanted to give him a birthday party, but I won't be able to do so. However, I will be taking pictures of him on his birthday, so I will e-mail you some. Again I want to thank you for making the adoption possible. Sincerly, Myriam Ortiz Update: I am sending you a picture of Skylar, the puppy I adopted for my grandson, as I promised I would. This picture was taken on his first birthday, Nov. 22, 2006. He has really grown alot and I must say he is quite handsome. We are always getting compliments about skylar. He has brought so much joy into our home and family. This was one decision I will never regret. If for any reason you are unable to pull up the picture, please let me know and I will resend it. Hope you and your family are all well.
