Description:
Katiya is a beautiful, blue eyed, young, female, husky.

She has been very sweet and loving but was also very sick. She is still in treatment (recovering from pneumonia) but is pretty much feeling normal again. After she is off antibiotics (in another week or 2), her immune system will be balanced out enough so  that she can be spayed (at the CARE vet).

She has taken to potty training very well, and so far has been fine with all household items too (ex: not destructive with furniture).  So far we have never had the need to crate her -- she stays loose in our home when we are away and has always been just fine!

She is with other dogs now and is doing well.  She is definitely a dominant female and gives a growl sometimes when meeting new dogs and typically instists she smells first!  We have been working with her on this though and she has gotten better.  She is not / has never been aggressive - just wasn't necessarily as friendly as she could be in the begining.  Once the intro's are complete she is more comfortable then she is fine with the other dogs!  Again, no aggression, just dominant.  She'll get past this in time we're sure though.

She has shown "intense" interest in the cats, more so than we are comfortable with but she has not tried to harm them. I can't say she is bad with cats but I would NOT recommend her be unattended with cats until she's proven she can be trusted.  If someone with a cat would like to adopt her I would strongly encourage you be able to seperate (ex: close the cat into a bedroom) the cat from her while you are away from the house just for "better safe than sorry".  I think she will learn to be okay with cats in time as she does catch onto correction quickly!

She's only been around a couple of kids -- they were seen like aliens to her in the begining but by the end of the adoption event today she was a champ with kids!  I think she just had not been exposed to many children previously -- she was very gentle with them today though :)
