Gary is a very sweet and playful little guy.  He loves riding in the car, loves walking on his leash and he loves, loves, LOVES to romp and play with the other dogs in his foster home and then flop down on the couch flat on his back and pass out.  He likes it best if he can get beside or on top of his human, or his dog friends and everybody snoozes in a big pile.  His gray snout makes him look older than he is.  He's only about 2.  He's crate trained and house trained. Gary is timid around strangers, but warms up after a bit. He is, however, not comfortable around small children so probably would be best suited for a household with no children under 10. Since he loves to play so much, a home with another canine companion to play with would be ideal.  He would be a great apartment dog.  Also, even though Basenjis are barkless, Gary is mixed, we think, with Chihuahua, so he does a kind of yodle as well as barks when he feels the urge.  He is a very loyal and bonding little dog who will love you more than you can imagine.  He will become your little shadow.
