Description:

Meet Violet!

Violet is a 12 week old female deaf and blind double merle Australian Shepherd.

For the most part Violet is like a normal puppy. Violet does use her nose to help her navigate her surroundings. Initially Violet is unsure of her surroundings but once she’s figured out where everything is she is a confident playful puppy. When Violet isn't playing she loves to cuddle and get lots of attention.

Violet is working on crate training and potty training. She is making great progress in her foster home, but being a puppy it is expected for her to need help with potty training in her new home.

Violet is great with other dogs and children. She has not met a cat before, but is expected to do well.

Violet is extremely food motivated and is currently working on an introduction to basic obedience using touch commands.

Violet would do best in a home where she won’t have to navigate stairs. Her adopters must also have a fenced in yard.

CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies and $100 for cats/kittens and an additional $150 neuter deposit will be required for any animals adopted prior to their spay/neuter surgery (and the deposit will be refunded when the approved adopter brings the animal to his/her CARE vet appointment in COLUMBUS, INDIANA once scheduled). All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped and spay/neutered (or scheduled for the same).

CARE is an all-volunteer and foster-based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter facility and do not have any employees monitoring inbound applications and emails. Applications are reviewed by each animal’s volunteer foster home. It may be several days before you hear from this animal’s foster home. Thank you for your patience and understanding as our foster volunteers work to navigate a very high volume of inbound adoption applications.
