Description:
Leo will be heading to CARE the weekend of 2/6/2021 and will be ready for adoption once he arrives. Leo's foster mom will post more once he arrives (if not already adopted), but here is what we know! Leo is a young male probably large breed puppy - guessing a Shar Pei/ Shepherd mix. He was born on/around 9/15/2020 - so he is just shy of 4-5 months old.

As a young pup, Leo will need an active home with plenty of time with his humans and space for excercise, play and socializing. His approved adopter will need to have time, patience, financial resources and interest to care for, provide proper veterinary care and work on positive reinforcement training to teach him all he needs to know to be a perfect little gentleman: potty training, crate training, leash walking and general good dog manners.

CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies and $100 for cats/kittens and an additional $150 neuter deposit will be required for any animals adopted prior to their spay/neuter surgery (and the deposit will be refunded when the approved adopter brings the animal to his/her CARE vet appointment in COLUMBUS, INDIANA once scheduled). All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped and spay/neutered (or scheduled for the same). If you are interested in adopting or meeting a CARE animal, the FIRST STEP is to complete and submit an online adoption application through care.rescuegroups.org.

CARE is an all-volunteer and foster-based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter facility and do not have any employees monitoring inbound applications and emails. Applications are reviewed by each animal’s volunteer foster home. It may be several days before you hear from this animal’s foster home. Thank you for your patience and understanding as our foster volunteers work to navigate a very high volume of inbound adoption applications.
